Honey Pudding

Are you seeing masterchef? I always followed the Australian series ( and I’m a fan ) , and although this one is a little bit differente I try not to miss it on Saturday evening.
I think this program is too directed to the portuguese cooking-preferences of the audience … maybe? Anyway I wish Rita Neto wins.

Television aside, this was one of the desserts here at home on Easter! Suc-cess!! Maybe next time I’ll add a little bit of Porto!


350g of sugar
1 tbsp of cornstarch
Water 2.5dl
4 tbsp honey
1 tsp ground cinnamon
caramel (liquid)
10 eggs

Heat the oven to 190 º C.
In a bowl add the sugar and the cornstarch and dilute this with water .
Add the eggs , honey and cinnamon powder.
Grease a big mold ( in this case I used small ones ) with liquid caramel .
Pour the preparation in the forms and take them to bake in water bath for 1 hour ( for a big mold ) or 20 minutes ( for small ones ) . To confirm , do the toothpick test .
Let them cool completely before unmolding .
