Hello. My name is Amelia, I’m 34 years old and I live in Aveiro, Portugal.
About 4 years ago, I started writing my recipes on a blog, not realizing that this project would be so welcomed. The blog became “No Leftovers” and here I like to share my love for food and seasonal ingredients.
Increasingly I find myself happier with simple things: I love the mountains, a dinner between friends, a good grilled fish. I’m fortunate to have products from the backyard of my mother in law, and that’s a very important part of my kitchen: cooking with fresh, organic produce, enjoying what the earth provides.
I’m passionate about cooking since I can remember, but it’s in savory dishes that I feel happier. I love pasta and salads, but if I had to choose between fish and meat, the choice would be very easy: fish every day.
Love Portuguese cuisine, but more and more I look for flavors from elsewhere.
If there’s something that unites people more than food, I don’t know it. We all like to eat , we all like to think and talk about food, we all unite around it. No matter the religion, country, creed or sex. Food is an universal language.
